Dr Kenkel, I suffer from excessive sweating and antiperspirant doesn’t do anything to help. I hear you can use Botox to help? How does it work?

Botox is FDA approved to treat hyperhidrosis, the condition associated with excess sweating.
It works by disrupting the chemical signal that activates the sweat glands.
If the glands do not receive the signal, they won’t produce sweat.
The results typically last longer than the cosmetic uses of Botox
The studies suggest that 50% of the patients treated still had results at 200 days.
There are many variables that can effect your result.
It is best to speak with your doctor about whether this treatment may be right for you
